Fielding Names Menu

  • The Fielding Names window allows you to configure BaseLinePro for the fielding positions used in your baseball or softball league.
  • Fielding Names are entered in full and abbreviated forms, and as standard baseball # codes (1-9) or 2 character abbreviations such as CF for center field. The full name form is used for display and printing in the Fielding Position versus Player format, whereas the abbreviated form is used in the Player versus Fielding Position format.
  • The fielding codes are needed when creating Batting Lineups for each inning and also for printing the starting Batting Lineups.
  • The length of Fielding Names is limited by the size of the cell. Enter the infielders first, followed by the outfielders, and then the bench. You must match the # of infield and outfield positions with the #'s selected in the Team Setup window.
  • Enter fielding codes that correspond to the Fielding Names and make sure that the # of batters in the Team Setup matches the # of fielding codes entered here.
