BaseLineStats V4.0.0 helps coaches create batting

How does BaseLineStats stand apart from other stats software? With our integrated game lineup and stats entry system, and our what you see is what you get stats reporting.

To enter fielding or pitching stats from a standard score book with most other software, you must first cross reference the fielding lineup with the batting results of your opponents, and then manually tally up the game stats for each fielder. Only then can you use the software to enter the game stats for each individual player.

With BaseLineStats you just enter the stats on an inning- by-inning basis directly from your scorebook, while the software looks after where each player is positioned, and automatically sums the game stats for each player. Because the stats are entered on a inning by inning basis, it's possible to verify the integrity of the input, and direct the user to any player or team stat that needs correcting.

Other software, that only allow stats input on a game basis, rely on the user to correctly compile and verify the stats from the scorebook.

New additions to BaseLineStats let you pre-sort the Web Pages for Batting, Fielding and Pitching stats. Now you can also create Web Pages for Team Stats Leaders in Batting, Fielding and Pitching while excluding players who do not meet minimum play requirements.

With BaseLineStats you can create literally hundreds of stats reports by selecting various combinations of Game Categories and Opposing Teams, choosing one of the Batting, Fielding, Pitching, Team, Player, or Game formats, and sorting players based on a particular stat heading. But most importantly, you get to view any of these stats reports on the screen before you decide to send them to the printer. All this with just a few clicks of the mouse and without having to change windows.

BaseLineStats was designed for coaches of recreational and competitive teams in baseball and softball. Coaches can quickly create batting and fielding lineups for use at the game, then after the game, update for any changes made in the lineups and enter the game stats.

BaseLineStats now offers a 'Wizard' option on the main menu bar that leads you through the 'Setup' and 'Lineup' and 'Stats' procedures to help you learn to use the software.

BaseLineStats is easy to use. Simply enter your roster and game setup once at the start of the season. Choose the number of innings, players, batters, infielders, and outfielders, and the fielding name for each position to suit your league. Before each game, create your batting and fielding lineups. After the game, open the game lineup file you created before the game, update the batting and fielding lineups for any changes made during the game, then begin entering the game stats.

BaseLineStats tracks over 100 batting, fielding, pitching and team stats. Enter stats for a single or multiple teams, with user-defined Game Categories and Opposing Teams that let you report on any combination of games in a season, including any single game or all games in the team database.

BaseLineStats integrates your saved game lineups with a 'spreadsheet' style entry for game and player stats so that defensive stats, for example, can be entered on an inning-by-inning basis without having to preprocess any individual player information.

BaseLineStats can display a complete batting or fielding lineup of up to 12 innings and 20 players with highlighting of individual players to let you more easily make decisions on positioning.

With BaseLineStats you can print batting and fielding lineups, game scoring sheets, game schedules, roster sheets for players and parents, and player and team stats for any combination of Game Categories and Opposing Teams.

BaseLineStats allows viewing and reporting of stats including:

  • Separate Batting, Fielding and Pitching summaries showing each player's stats along with team totals and averages.
  • Team summaries of Record, Offense and Defense for your team versus any combination of opponents ranging from a single game to all games played;
  • Individual Player summaries categorized by Hitting, Outs, Base Running, Fielding, and Pitching.
  • Game summaries for a selected Game Category showing typical team stats such as Runs, RBI's, Hits, AVG.....
  • Generation of Web Pages for Batting, Fielding and Pitching stats.
  • Generation of Web Pages for Team Stats Leaders.
  • Top 5 Team Leaders for 9 different stats in each of the Batting, Fielding and Pitching categories.
  • Who's Hot Batting stats for the last 3, 5, 7, or 10 games.
  • Exporting of any viewed stats summary to a comma delimited text file that can then be imported to a spreadsheet for further processing or conversion to HTML for publishing to the web.

Batting, Fielding, Pitching, and Game summaries can be sorted by clicking on any stats heading at the top of the table. When you click on Print, the stats are printed as they currently appear on your screen.
